A building has been severely damaged in a fire at a West Auckland beach this morning, with fire crews rushing to the scene at 9.46am.
A fire communications spokesman said four fire crews were at the scene on Karekare Rd, in West Auckland.
"A small outbuilding has been severely damaged and crews are assessing the risk of fire spreading into the bush," he said.
