Builders gain one-off permit

A new approval system for multi-use building designs launched yesterday will save money for builders and consumers, Building Minister Maurice Williamson says.

The MultiProof approval service means that volume builders will only need to obtain a one-off consent from the Department of Building and Housing for a design, rather than having to seek a consent every time the same design is used.
