Three days on and Labour is still far from impressed with the Budget.
Its spokesperson for Social Development and Children Jacinda Ardern said it is bad news for children and their families.
She said all of the key indicators available to the Government point to a crisis for New Zealand kids.
She said rates of preventable hospitalisation and infectious skin diseases are up as are child protection notifications, and there are now 270,000 living in poverty.
Ms Ardern said the Government needed to act urgently on their behalf, but didn't.
