A documentary about the life of Jesus that screened on TV One earlier this year did not breach any broadcasting standards, despite three men saying it "cherry-picked experts", the Broadcasting Standards Authority has found.
Investigator Special: Jesus the Cold Case by documentary maker Bryan Bruce saw him give his perspective on the life and death of Jesus. He travelled three continents to talk to experts about Jesus.
The complainants said Mr Bruce `cherry-picked' his experts, failed to present a reasonable range of views, and the documentary was inaccurate, misleading and encouraged discrimination and denigration against Christians.
The BSA's findings, released today, said the programme followed the well-established authority style of Mr Bruce's Investigator series.
"It was clearly a presentation of his opinions based on his personal research, on a topic which, on this occasion, is itself a matter of opinion and belief based on an interpretation of historical events which occurred some 2000 years ago."
