Two Teenage brothers have been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Mahia.
The 13 and 14-year-old pair were hurt when the ute they were travelling in with family went over a bank near East Coast Rd at 1:30pm on Sunday.
They were flown by the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter to Hawke's Bay Hospital with back, shoulder and chest injuries.
Other occupants were taken to Wairoa Hospital by ambulance.
Later in the day the rescue helicopter airlifted a 20-year-old Waipawa man to Hawke's Bay Hospital after he came off his motorcycle in the Central Hawkes Bay.
The rider failed to negotiate a bend near Omakere, east of Waipukurau, and was taken to hospital with multiple injuries.
