Brothers admit bar charges

Former Shortland Street star Rene Naufahu, 31, and his brother Joe Naufahu, 23, a Southland rugby player, have admitted charges of assault and wilful damage arising from a fracas in a Christchurch nightclub on Easter Sunday.

They appeared in the Christchurch District Court this week and were remanded on bail until December for sentencing. A depositions hearing heard they had thrown glasses, damaged equipment, and attacked a man in the bar.
