Britomart Train Station has reopened following a bomb scare this morning.
The station was earlier evacuated after police received a 111 call alleging a bomb threat existed.
Auckland Regional Transport Authority spokeswoman Sharon Hunter said Britomart reopened after police thoroughly searched the train station.
KiwiRail earlier stopped trains at Newmarket while Britomart was searched and alternative transport was arranged for commuters.
Mrs Hunter said she believed disruption to commuters had been minimal as the bomb scare came towards the end of this morning's peak commuter time.
