British novelist to attend Auckland festival

British novelist Sarah Dunant has been added to the lineup for the Auckland Writers and Readers Festival next month.

Also a critic and broadcaster, Dunant has written eight novels.

Dunant and New Zealand novelist Elizabeth Know are replacing two international authors, American Annie Proulx and Briton Iain Banks, who pulled out because of the Iraq war.
