An importer has reached a settlement with Sanitarium to bring almost 2000 jars of British Marmite in to New Zealand.
Rob Savage was due in the High Court next week over a copyright row after trying to bring in a consignment of Ma'amite - labelled in honour of the Queen's diamond jubilee.
New Zealand Customs seized the 1908 jars last August and Sanitarium launched a legal bid to have goods destroyed.
But now, the two parties have reached an out of court settlement that will allow Mr Savage to sell his product as long as the back of the jars are re-labelled and the word `Marmite' is not visible.
The court case will no longer go ahead.
