Graffiti artists were given an odd canvas yesterday, turning an ordinary school bus into a buzzing piece of art to be reckoned with.
Promoting a new documentary film Alter Ego - which premiered in Auckland yesterday - graffiti artists applied their colourful skills to the once dowdy-looking school bus from Dargaville High School.
Affectionately dubbed Mr Whippy by students, the old bus quickly turned into something far more special in front of a large crowd which had formed to watch the artists work.
Bright future for Mr Whippy
