A facelift for Christchurch's landmark Bridge of Remembrance, damaged in the earthquakes, will be ready in time for next year's Anzac Day celebrations.
Associate Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Minister Nicky Wagner today released images of the new design for the bridge and its surrounds.
Since being damaged in the 2010 and 2011 quakes, the bridge's Triumphal Arch and its foundation structure has undergone repairs and strengthening work.
"The next step is to ensure its appearance is something Christchurch can be proud of," Ms Wagner said.
