The word Brexit may have become ingrained in the global lexicon in the past few weeks as it has been almost inescapable. So much so that it even surpassed "porn" and eclipsed the "Euro 2016" soccer championship in Google search terms by Kiwi readers last Friday, the day of the vote.
Hardly surprising given the turmoil it caused in its immediate wake with the pound sterling plummeting to depths not seen in 30 years and global markets going into the red.
However, after reaching its crescendo on June 24, the "Brexit" spike dropped off sharply and it was back to business time as usual thereafter.
