Drumming up support for the Cancer Society's Daffodil Day appeal is easy if you're Brendon McCullum.
The Black Caps captain spent the morning on Queen St and Albert St collecting donations from Aucklanders and had his game-plan ready to go.
"I've been more confrontational about it and approaching them, rather than waiting for them to come to me," he said.
The crowds that gathered around him while he was shaking the bucket for ANZ were testament that his approach worked.
He was taking photos with fans while the buckets were rattling with the sound of lots of coins going to the Cancer Society.
