Television weatherman Brendan Horan is leaving the One News team after taking redundancy.
"Brendan Horan will be leaving the organisation on Friday as a result of changes to the way One News wants its weather presented," TVNZ said in a statement today.
"Mr Horan has decided to take redundancy from TVNZ."
Mr Horan, who began presenting the weather on One News in 2005, said in the TVNZ press statement that while he was sad to be leaving, he wished the organisation well and thanked viewers for their support.
