A breakdown in the new Waterview tunnel that was causing delays has now been cleared.
One lane was closed as the vehicle was cleared about 2pm.
The closure briefly affected traffic heading from the city to the airport.
Traffic is now flowing again, the New Zealand Transport Agency says.
