Break-in sparks hunt

Thieves broke into an Otaki shop and used an electric grinder to steal "a significant amount" of money from an automatic teller machine early on Tuesday, police said yesterday.

Police said the sparks in the Yates Furniture building would have been clearly visible to passing traffic.
