The Wairarapa Cricket Association has expressed concern at the number of Code of Conduct breaches during the Bidwell Cup grand final between Red Star and Lansdowne at Queen Elizabeth Park Oval earlier this month.
One player was sinbinned and official warnings were given for incidents ranging from swearing, throwing bats and helmets and kicking rubbish bins.
"The association is very disappointed at the attitude of the players concerned ... They should feel ashamed and take a good hard look at themselves," Wairarapa Cricket Association administration officer Chris Cogdale said.
Umpires have been advised to take a low-tolerance approach to poor behaviour so there are no repeats of the "shameful displays" in the cup final.
