A $320,000 mobile dental clinic has been stolen from a school in Paeroa.
The clinic had chemicals, two dentist's chairs, patient records, and x-ray equipment on board.
Waikato police spokesman Andrew McAlley said the clinic was stolen at about 1.30pm on Saturday and was last seen being towed by a silver or light blue Ford Falcon car along State Highway Two towards Paeroa.
Mr McAlley said no one had been able to tell him what the chemicals stolen were.
Waikato District Health Board spokeswoman Mary Anne Gill also declined to comment on what they were or what they could be used for.
Dental therapist Meirene Royal said a truck would have been needed to pull the clinic.
Ms Gill said the clinic is one of six mobile clinics and was stolen from Netherton School near Paeroa.
It was due to be moved tomorrow to another rural school in the Coromandel.
