Sir Richard Branson, the colourful founder of the Virgin empire, is coming to the Rugby World Cup.
The entrepreneur will be guest speaker two days before the final at a BNZ-sponsored fundraiser to mark the 50th anniversary of New Zealand charity Outward Bound.
Sir Richard said he couldn't imagine a better time to be in Auckland.
"With the All Blacks expected to do well at the tournament and a general election coming up in November, it will be an especially exciting time.
"I am also excited this event will mark the launch of the 50th anniversary year for Outward Bound New Zealand, an organisation that I understand has challenged over 50,000 New Zealanders to achieve their dreams."
Sir Richard will talk about "Making it to the Top" at the dinner, to be held at Auckland's new Viaduct Events Centre on Thursday, October 20.
Sir David Leven, patron of the Outward Bound Trust of NZ, said it was Sir Richard's "spirit and perseverance" which made him an ideal speaker.
All proceeds from a charity auction on the night will go to Outward Bound.
Corporate tables and VIP seats will be on sale through Duco Events from June 20.
