KEY POINTS:
Three primary school students have been suspended for shooting a BB gun at classmates.
Police said the pupils, aged 11 and 12, of St Patrick's School, Paraparaumu, fired at two classmates, hitting at least one in the arm, causing bruising.
The victim was lucky not to have been more seriously injured, police said.
The trio had been ordered to stay away from school while a full investigation was carried out.
