KEY POINTS:
Former Boys' Brigade leader and ambulance officer Neville Cyril Collins was today sentenced to 11 years in jail for sex offences against six boys.
Justice Pamela Andrews sentenced the 44-year-old father-of-two in the High Court at Rotorua on 37 charges of indecent assault, sexual violation, assault, attempted indecent assault and performing an indecent act.
The offences took place between 1984 and 1998, when the boys were aged between 11 and 16.
The abuse took place at Boys' Brigade camps, in cars, and at Collins' home.
