Wednesday September 21 saw the Martinborough women playing another L.G.U and putting competition and in the silver division Jenny Boyne was in first spot with 92-19-71 followed by Sherry Weatherstone and Kris Chamberlain whos actual scores seem to have been mislaid.
In the Bronze division it was Dianna Donald with a 91-20-71 in first spot followed by Fiona Ellis by the countback and then Barb Cox and Felicity Warren.
Dianna Donald took out the Pukemanu nearest the pin and sunk the two , a nice finish for her efforts.

The Thursday Club saw a smaller turnout than usual and only coincidentally fewer good scores.

Players are perhaps saving themselves for the great Election Celebration/Anguish Tournament, depending on your point of view, which is on Thursday 29th. Players are requested to arrive at least ten minutes before tee-off thus stopping the starter from having a nervous breakdown who ever said men cant multi-task !
An apology: It is hard enough to score one two let alone two in the same game and when the act is credited to a player long since dead, the hurt is even worse. It was Thursday club stalwart Doug Clark who scored the twos, and they were richly deserved, even if the recognition is somewhat overdue!
The mens club championships have been held on a beautifully manicurred course, Lance Phelps was helped by a 66 in the morning round to take out the senior division, the runner -up was Bill Jones.
Marcus Howie beat Bob Goodley for the intermediate title and David Thurlow beat Terry Blacktop for the junior crown.
The Bellingham Cup,for those on a 25 plus handicap was won by Sam Cooke and the runner -up was Garth Edwards.
