A two-year-old boy who lost part of an arm after falling in front of a ride-on lawnmower is quickly improving in Hawke's Bay Hospital.
A hospital spokeswoman said boy was in a stable and comfortable condition.
The boy had been playing at his Ruakituri Valley home, in Wairoa, with his parents on Saturday morning when he fell in front of the lawnmower his mother was using.
His arm was amputated at the elbow at the scene, she said.
