Boy who drowned in stream named

A 4-year-old boy who drowned after following a ball into a stream near Moerewa in the far north on Saturday evening has been named.

He was William Mokaraka Brown of Pukekohe, who was visiting Northland with his family, say police.

The death has been reported to the coroner.
