A boy is being raced to hospital after an incident at a Southland school.
Emergency Services were called to rural Thornbury School just after 3pm - to reports of a trapped and injured child.
It is understood the boy had been impaled.
St John's spokesman Gerard Campbell says they're currently transporting a male patient to Kew Hospital with moderate injuries.
