KEY POINTS:
A five-year-old Tokoroa boy, thought to have been knocked down and run over by a reversing truck in the Waikato township today, was flown to hospital this afternoon.
BayTrust Rescue Helicopter spokesman Barry Vincent said the Rotorua-based aircraft was called in at 1.30pm.
The child had suffered serious multiple injuries in the accident and was in a serious condition in Waikato Hospital.
