A nine-year-old Matamata boy taken to Tauranga Hospital after a head on crash near Opotiki last night has been released.
Bay of Plenty District Health Board communication manager Carol Wollaston said the boy had minor cuts and grazes and was discharged last night.
The accident occurred at Waiotahi near Opotiki.
The vehicles' other passengers were taken to Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals.
