Cabinet minister Clayton Cosgrove is being targeted by boy racers and a death threat against him has been posted on a website.
The Christchurch MP is leading a campaign against boy racers and wants laws strengthened so their cars can be confiscated after one offence.
One News says a group of boy racers had formed a club called "FCC - F*** Clayton Cosgrove" and had set up a website.
One of the comments on it was, "If you see him on the road he should be killed," TV One reported.
Boy racers were reported to have driven up and down outside the MP's home and he was concerned about his partner's safety.
