Boy racers smashed three windows on an aviation security officer's car as she drove past them at the Christchurch International Airport last night.
Inspector Dave Lawry said the woman was on Pound Rd at about 10.30pm when she "drove through a group" of people street racing.
"It would have been a frightening experience," Mr Lawry said.
He said the woman was not injured and police were investigating.
