More than 50 cars were seized in Auckland over the weekend during a crackdown on boy racers. Nine people were arrested and 303 tickets were issued.
Operation Spoiler, a joint effort by police, the Ministry of Justice and Land Transport New Zealand, was set to coincide with several car-related events in the area.
Twenty-two people were processed for drink driving and 58 unsafe vehicles were ordered off the road.
