A 10-year-old boy who collided with a 4WD while riding a quad bike on a Waikato road with a 100km/h speed limit at the weekend has died in hospital.
Blake Fowlie was travelling south along Rotokohu Rd near Paeroa on a 100cc quad bike, intending to turn into the driveway of his family's property, when he turned into the path of a 4WD vehicle.
He was flown to Waikato Hospital with critical injuries and transferred to Auckland's Starship Hospital yesterday where he died today.
Police said the investigation into the crash was continuing.
