Boy injured in motorcycle crash

A 13-year-old boy had to be airlifted to Waikato Hospital today with serious head injuries after falling from a motorcycle.

The Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance helicopter was called to carry the boy, who may also have a neck injury, from west of Huntly to hospital late this morning.

He was first treated at the scene by St John paramedics.
