Boy injured after cliff fall

A 14-year-old boy has suffered suspected spinal injuries after falling down a beachside cliff at Manukau today.

The boy was injured when he fell 4m down the cliff at Orere Point about 3pm, a Westpac Waikato Air Ambulance spokesman said.

The local boy was treated at the scene for a suspected spinal injury before being airlifted to Starship Children's Hospital.
