KEY POINTS:
A 7-year-old boy was taken to hospital yesterday after being impaled on a school fence in South Auckland.
Fire Service and ambulance staff were called about 1.10pm to rescue the boy at Mountain View School, Mangere.
A St John Ambulance spokesman said the boy was in a moderate condition.
