A young boy was taken to hospital in moderate condition after he was impaled on a fence at an Auckland primary school.
The Fire Service and St John were both been sent to Owairoa Primary School in Howick.
Fire Service northern communications shift manager Jarron Phillips confirmed the nine-year-old boy was impaled on a fence.
Fire Service were called to the incident at 4.55pm yesterday. Firefighters had removed the boy by 5.40pm.
