A boy is in a critical condition in Starship hospital after falling through a roof while collecting a ball in Auckland last night.
An Auckland ambulance spokesman said St John were called at 9.35pm last night after a teenager, believed to be aged around 14, fell through the roof of a commercial building in Onehunga.
He said the building was Pipe and Cable Support, on the corner of Victoria St and Princes St.
"On ambulance arrival he was assessed as being in a life-threatening condition and he was taken through to Starship ED."
Auckland police spokesman, Acting Inspector Danny Meade said the boy fell approximately 8 metres while retrieving a ball at a church function.
