KEY POINTS:
An 18-month-old boy drowned in a farm pond in Te Kauwhata yesterday.
The toddler was found dead in the pond by his older brother, a St John spokesman said.
St John was notified at 12.45pm and the first ambulance arrived at the property at 1.03pm, followed by another two minutes later.
Staff worked on the toddler for several minutes but were unable to revive him.
