A 7-year-old boy who died after being run over in the driveway of his Southland home yesterday was Brodie Jacob Molloy.
The boy was struck by a reversing vehicle on a rural property in Wallacetown, near Invercargill, about 1pm.
Police Sergeant Ian Temple said Brodie was taken to Southland Hospital but was unable to be resuscitated.
It appeared the vehicle was driven by a family member, Mr Temple said.
The death has been referred to the coroner.
