Save A 14-year-old boy will appear in court day after stealing a car and fleeing from police yesterday.
Dunedin's acting senior sergeant Ben Butterfield said police chased a fleeing driver yesterday for about 3km.
"Then we decided to abandon the pursuit. We located the vehicle dumped a short time later.
"Police
dog handlers tracked two offenders who were subsequently arrested."
One boy, 14, will face charges of stealing a car, unlawfully taking a car, failing to stop for police and dangerous driving in court today, he said.
