Boy, 13, 'abducted' from home

Cromwell police are investigating the alleged abduction of a 13-year-old boy from his home yesterday afternoon.

Police said the boy said he was grabbed and abducted from his address in Pyke Court at about 1pm yesterday.

The boy said he blacked out during the incident and woke up about an hour later in an orchard in Ripponvale.

The boy then walked home.

He suffered no injuries as a result of his ordeal, police said.

Police are appealing to the public for any sightings of the boy who was wearing dark tracksuit pants and a light blue t-shirt yesterday afternoon.
