Top New Zealand bowler Gary Lawson has had his court appearance on a charge of assault transferred to next month.
Lawson, 43, was due to appear in Wellington District Court today on charges of assaulting a taxi driver and intentionally damaging a wing mirror in Wellington on November 6 last year.
The hearing has been rescheduled for March 10.
He had earlier appeared in the Christchurch District Court in December and was transferred to Wellington due to confusion over whether he would be granted diversion.
Lawson said in December the only reason why the charge went to court was because of his high profile and said he would not be pleading guilty to the charges.
