Auckland police say they are disappointed that a drink-driving blitz on Saturday night and yesterday morning found 108 people with an excess breath-alcohol level.
Fifteen of them were aged under 20.
Twenty-seven people were arrested, including two for possession of drugs, two with offensive weapons, three disqualified drivers and three with stolen vehicles.
"A taxi is a lot cheaper than being prosecuted for drink-driving," said Inspector Barry Smalley.
