Boobs on Bikes organiser Stephen Crow has appeared in court today on firearms charges.
Crow, 49, entered not guilty pleas to six charges at Wataikere District Court, all relating to an alleged incident in Whenuapai on August 20.
He is accused of two charges of illegal possession of a pistol, two charges of carrying pistols against the terms of his collector's licence, and two charges of discharging a firearm near a house to "annoy/frighten the occupants".
Crow was remanded on bail with residential conditions and ordered to return for a status hearing on October 3.
The alleged offences came three days before the Boobs on Bikes event in which topless models rode on the back of motorbikes down Auckland's Queen Street watched by thousands of people.
The parade, a promotional event for an Erotica Expo held last weekend, had been described by Auckland City Mayor Dick Hubbard as "totally inappropriate".
