The Kiwi at the centre of a fiery Middle East love triangle is back in New Zealand and considering selling the story of how he ended up in a Dubai prison.
Toby Carroll, a 34-year-old financier, was sentenced to two months in prison after being arrested for having sex outside marriage with two women in the Muslim emirate in December.
He was released from prison in August and deported to Britain, where he began job-hunting in the financial sector.
The former HSBC analyst, who was reportedly earning up to $1 million a year at the time of his arrest, has returned to New Zealand where he is now catching up with family and friends on the Auckland social scene. He was snapped last week at a function with his former girlfriend Anna Jobsz.
He contacted the Herald on Sunday this week touting his story.
