Bombs found in bush

A Northland man has found a stash of military explosives in bush on his property at Towai, 18km south of Kawakawa.

The Department of Labour said it was a collection of ordnance and explosives from the Army that a neighbour had apparently obtained from a deceased estate and decided to store on the property.

The Army is understood to be investigating.
