A non-commissioned officer in the New Zealand Defence Force has been found guilty of indecent assault.
Bombardier Phillip Manning, 27, was also found guilty of doing an act likely to prejudice service discipline. He was found not guilty on five further charges relating to sexual violation and inducing a sexual connection by threat.
The guilty verdicts were returned today by a panel of senior military officers after an hour and a half of deliberations.
Manning also pleaded guilty to six charges on Monday.
The court martial was adjourned for the afternoon so the defence and prosecution could prepare their submissions for sentencing tomorrow morning.
