Cordons have been put in place as police investigate a bomb threat at a Hamilton shopping centre.
Police said officers were called to the Westfield mall in the suburb of Chartwell at around 3:30pm after a bomb threat was left with centre management.
Inspector Karen Henrikson said cordons had been put in place to minimise the risk to the public.
"We are always conscious of the inconvenience caused but we ask people to consider such inconveniences are temporary where as if the threat is real the consequences can be permanent."
