The Defence Force Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit has given Customs St West the all-clear, after confirming a reported "suspicious" bag posed no threat.
A police spokeswoman said the team confirmed the bag's contents were "not suspicious" and the cordon in the city centre has been lifted.
A bomb squad was called into Auckland's city centre after a "suspicious" bag was found on Customs St West.
Police were advised of the finding at 1.14pm this afternoon and initially cordoned off the immediate area to stop foot traffic, including nearby Market Lane.
