The international mail centre near Auckland Airport was evacuated this afternoon after reports a suspicious package had been delivered.
Police and fire were sent to the scene and a bomb squad was also being sent to investigate.
By 3.30pm the item had been examined and deemed not suspicious and cordons had been lifted, a police spokesman said.
The fire service and police were called around 1.40pm to the centre on Laurence Stevens Drive near the airport.
An Auckland Airport spokesman said the New Zealand Post facility was evacuated after "reports of a suspicious package".
