KEY POINTS:
The New Plymouth woman charged with murder after the bizarre body-on-the-bonnet case will face a depositions hearing on July 7.
Cindy Marcia Fairburn, also known as Cyndi Henry and Cyndi Manser, appeared in New Plymouth District Court yesterday.
The 37-year-old mother of five is charged with the murder of Darin Paul Maxwell, 42, on August 6.
She was remanded on continued bail until July 7, when she will reappear for the depositions hearing, the Taranaki Daily News reported.
Fairburn is accused of driving from Inglewood to the outskirts of New Plymouth - a distance of nearly 20km - with Mr Maxwell clinging to the bonnet of her car.
Police allege she drove intentionally into the path of an oncoming car to kill her ex-partner and the father of one of her children.
Fairburn is also charged with dangerous driving causing injury to Brett Robert McCall, the driver of the car that she allegedly crashed into.
She has yet to enter pleas to either charge. Fairburn, who lost part of her leg in the crash, said nothing during her two-minute appearance.
